Image samples are images of areas that we believe are popular among our casual browsers and certain industries. We have compiled these images so that you will not have to scan aerial images trying to find a particular building or historical landmark. Simply browse our Sample library and the searching has already been done for you.
You can browse our sample section by clicking on Samples at the top of the page. You can also view samples using the Landmarks box to the left of the viewer.
Some of the sample sections were simply rolled over from our old site while others were the results of brain storming sessions between the office history buffs. The skyscapers sample list was developed from the list of tallest buildings in each of the states. We didn’t want to have a list of every building in Chicago and New York, so we tried to spread it out a little. If you have any more ideas, we compile lists to use for suggestions as we develop and upgrade the site.
We’re constantly trying to update our site and that includes our samples. You are welcome to send us a message using the Contact Page. We can’t guarantee that it will be added right away, but we will look into it.
We’d enjoy reading your suggestion as we’re always trying to evolve the content of the site to better suit our customers. Please use the Contact Page to send us your suggestions.
You would follow the same order process as if you were buying an image that you searched for. Simply using the shopping tools at the bottom of the viewer.
Not at all. We used what we personally considered to be the best image of an area of object for the thumbnail that you clicked on. Once you click on the sample, it simply references the location and then uses the default image for that location. Click on the Imagery button at the top of the viewer to switch between images to find one that you like best.
It is possible that we have lost coverage of that area due to a change at one of our providers. We’re trying to stay on top of this but some times we don’t have any control over it. Trying using the Imagery button to change to a different image.
